This it the last Bronte novel that I had to read, and it didn't let me down. It is basically the story of "Villette" told from the man's point of view. The plot is a little different, but the characters are the same. I really liked seeing the story told from the other side. I loved "Villette" but I sometimes wondered about what drove the Professor to act like he did. This is a wonderful companion piece.
I'm glad to say it had a happier ending.
