Such excitement over here. Our barn manager was retiring? Well, the owners of the place haven't hired anyone, yet, and then they announced that they are raising the board to $500!!! We have been paying $390, so that is quite a jump for a place that is basically self serve. We decided to leave, and since many people from our barn will also be leaving, we had to find a place before they took all the available stalls in the neighborhood.
After much discussion between the 3 of us, admitting that no place has everything we would like, we decided to talk to the stables where Shari keeps her horse. If is full serve and very nice. The only problem is the stalls don't have the nice windows that our current stalls have where they can stick their heads out. They have windows, but they are too high for that. At least they get light and air.
The cost is only $345, but we will have to pay additional because we want different feed instead of just straight oats. My horse )and probably my sister's horse, too) has to watch his sugar.
We leave at the end of the month.
